Tereza Zelenkova

Interview for The Nearest Truth podcast available to listen here.

Tereza Zelenková is an artist based in Prague, Czech Republic. She is best known for her black and white photographs influenced by literature and mysticism. The recurring themes of her work include relationship between land and identity; the uncanny and the domestic; and photography’s relationship with the occult. Central to her practice is the combination of photography, installation, and her own writing; a fertile relationship that draws together her influences of the lyrical alongside a commitment to research, resulting in often wide-ranging and complex lines of enquiry.

She has received several awards and her work has been exhibited on four different continents. Her photographs are held in the collections of Victoria & Albert Museum, Foam Photography Museum, Musée de l’Élysé, Saatchi Gallery and Fotomuseum Winterthur.

Her commissioned work was published in The New Yorker, The Atlantic, The Financial Times and Hothsoe magazine among others.
